Start a Project 04 / How We Work
One process.
Every layer connected.
Provost gives complex communication environments a clear center—from the first strategic question through daily operation.
The model / Five connected phases
We reduce complexity
without reducing ambition.
- 01
Frame
Define purpose, audiences, formats, operating needs, and measures of success before deciding what the room contains.
- 02
Align
Bring architecture, brand, content, production, technology, budget, and schedule to one table.
- 03
Design
Develop the physical and technical environment together—from the human experience to the camera frame.
- 04
Deliver
Coordinate specialists, fabrication, integration, installation, commissioning, and the decisions that hold the idea together.
- 05
Activate
Train teams, establish content rhythms, document workflows, and turn a finished room into a working capability.
Long read / Space as a medium
The room is no longer
only where communication happens.
It has become part of the communication itself.
Architecture once framed a moment for the people physically present. Today that same moment may be streamed, recorded, clipped, photographed, distributed, and encountered months later by an audience that never enters the building.
This changes the design brief. The room must work at human scale and at the scale of the frame. Identity must be architectural enough to feel authentic in person, yet legible enough to travel through media. Technology must perform continuously without becoming the experience. Operations must be considered early because a room that is difficult to activate will remain silent.
When space becomes media, design is responsible for presence, perception, and continuity.
Four consequences for design
- Every space has two audiences. The people in the room and the people who experience it through a screen.
- The camera is an architectural client.Depth, light, material, movement, and sightline have to perform inside a frame.
- Use is part of the design.Content rhythms, staffing, and workflow determine whether the capability becomes real.
- The environment outlives the event.Every recorded moment extends the identity and meaning of the space over time.

Open When Space Becomes Media ↗Collaboration / One shared brief
The best work happens when every discipline solves the same problem.
We can lead the complete effort or become the connective specialist inside a larger team. Either way, decisions stay anchored to the audience and what the environment must enable.
